The Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) and Maximvs Ltd (owners of Payroll World) have today, (31 July, 2007), agreed a deal aimed at providing a better support service for the payroll industry and its 50,000+ professionals across the UK.
The agreement means Maximvs will no longer offer training courses. Instead, readers of Payroll World will be welcomed on IPP’s extensive range of payroll training programmes.
The IPP offers around 30 open training courses and a full range of payroll qualifications, as well as a series of in-house programmes, making it the industry benchmark and market leader for payroll professional education.
Maurice Cheng, CEO of The Institute of Payroll Professionals, said, “This is great news for the membership and the payroll profession. We are looking forward to developing this relationship as a major benefit to our members and the payroll industry as a whole.”
Chris Fitzgerald, Managing Director of Maximvs Ltd, said, "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a much wider choice of payroll training courses with the leading provider in the market."
The Institute of Payroll Professionals was established as an official industry body in 1985 with a purpose to raise the contribution of payroll professionals to organizations by improving technical skills and practical experience, working with the government to ensure practical implementation of relevant legislation and promoting the highest standards of professional conduct.
Payroll World, established in 2001, is a monthly publication delivered to over 13,000 payroll professionals, and its website payrollworld.com offers breaking news and events plus a popular readers’ forum and a regularly visited jobs section.
