Enigma Health, the leading supplier of patient medication records (PMR) software,
has teamed up with Bathgate based Dacoll Ltd to offer its pharmacist customers an improved hardware maintenance service.
Dacoll, the specialist IT company, has taken over the hardware maintenance
service from Centerprise and will now offer pharmacists a much-needed Saturday
call out service. This means that pharmacists reporting a fault can be assured
of an engineer coming to the premises six days a week, thereby avoiding any
disruption to pharmacy services and patient care.
Enigma Health’s director of customer services David Farrow says the Saturday
call out service has been a key factor in the company’s decision to switch
suppliers and follows several requests by pharmacists for a more extensive service.
‘‘We conducted a trial with Dacoll in February and were very happy
with the results. We have now rolled it out to all customers and look forward
to working with Dacoll and extending the maintenance service further.’’
Enigma Health plans to extend the service to all hardware equipment used by
its customers as the current service only applies to hardware supplied by Enigma
Health.
Dacoll already has experience
of maintaining equipment within the National Health Service and more specifically
has been involved in developing wideband access to pharmacies in Scotland.
