SWTOR is scheduled to be released around September 2011. The game features two main factions (or as they called it 'allegiance' in SWTOR) that are constantly fighting each other, the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. Gamers who long to walk the vicious path as the Dark Lord Palpatine or want to travel the universe as a Smuggler like Han Solo will be thrilled to know that all those classes are available to be played.
SWTOR took place long before Luke Skywalker or Boba Fett were even born. The gameplay is set in a way that player's action will have an impact on the story arc. Players will be able to craft and mold the story as they please. The dialogue and NPCs' reaction toward players will also change. The developers intend to create a system that players actually feel like being part of the game. Solo play is also possible for those who don't feel like wandering in flocks. Space exploration using starship will become playable at some point although the specific details is not yet revealed.
