Bryan Webb, President of Norton Scientific, has been chosen among a dignified field of business executives to open the Niagara Industrial Buyer Seller Forum in March.

(Thorold) – Organizers at the 4th Annual Niagara Industrial Buyer Seller Forum have announced Bryan Webb, President of Norton Scientific, will open their prestigious event next month. In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities at Norton, Webb currently serves as Chair as Niagara Industry Association. With its emphasis on “innovation and new concepts”, Webb says the event, which will be held at Niagara Fallsview Casino and Resort in Niagara Falls, Canada, on March 3rd, 2011, will again attract a record number of attendees.
Produced in conjunction with the Niagara Development Corridor Partnership, the intensive one-day event will include a Tradeshow, Conference, Keynote Speakers and Workshops. Webb has also agreed to walk the floor at the Tradeshows, to meet participants and answer their questions.
The Niagara Industrial Association’s mission is to identify and lead on issues that affect Niagara industry and to advocate initiatives, which will enable continued growth and development. NIA communicates the needs of local industries in Niagara through an intricate network of sources which includes its partners, government and non-government agencies, other associations, and leading authorities.
Norton Scientific Inc., a recognized leader in the development of innovative measurement tools necessary to advance pharmaceutical and biotech research, recently unveiled the highly anticipated NS4910 PAM, which is targeted at laboratories and universities around the world. The device will be unveiled at the upcoming Pittcon trade show to over 20,000 attendees from industry, academia and government from 90 countries.
Norton’s compact hand-held unit, a protein aggregation monitor, was developed to study how proteins aggregate in solution. Norton’s strategy is to develop simple-to-use product that can be used by technicians, rather than analysts, and incorporated into laboratories own process control systems. Over the next few years, Norton is expecting to successfully introduce and commercialize a novel microfluidic-based analytical instrumentation line used in the expanding niche of macromolecular molar mass distributions and nano-particle sizing applications.
The Company’s new measurement systems will be used in a wide range of markets from healthcare, biomaterials and green industries to viticulture, including brewing.
Based in Thorold, Ontario, Norton is currently conducting additional advanced research on microfluidic separation, sensor hardware and computational software, and intends to fully commercialise their analytical and process control systems, which will contain significant elements of patentable technology used to develop OEM and technology licenses with the major instrumentation companies.
