MUMS living in Bradford could be poised for a disappointing Mother’s Day.
New research has revealed that mothers in the West Yorkshire city are among the least appreciated by their children.
The northern city came 53rd in a national league table of 60 locations where mums are likely to receive Mother’s Day flowers.
The study was put together by London-based online florist Serenata Flowers.
Serenata’s survey claims the luckiest mums in the UK live in York, followed closely by Norwich, Colchester and Cambridge.
But Bradford languishes near the bottom of the league table just above other “unlucky” locations for mums like Telford, West Bromwich and Ipswich.
Peter Ahl, Managing Director of Serenata Flowers, said:
“It looks like mums in Bradford might miss out on flowers this Sunday. We analysed our Mother’s Day sales figures from previous years and worked out which towns and cities were the most – and least – likely to receive flowers. We also considered population sizes when working out the league positions. Sadly Bradford was very close to the bottom.”
