Training:

ITIL clustered Practitioner courses

Contributed by sumit on Saturday, August 26 @ 16:58:37 EDT

ITpreneurs learning solutions are offered in various delivery means such as classroom, e-learning, workshops and game based learning courses.

Beginning of 2005, EXIN launched the first clustered practitioner course: Release and Control. This clustered practitioner course replaces the independent practitioner courses: Change/Release Management and Configuration Management. The ideology behind the clustered courses has to do with the interdependency of the ITIL Processes. By teaching the processes as independent elements, students miss out on the strong relationships between these courses. Secondly, training providers globally do not see a strong demand for separate Practitioner courses, but for combined courses there is a demand. Thirdly, EXIN and other examination bodies are having difficulties in maintaining different language versions for all the separate exams.

Release and Control was the first clustered practitioner which was launched and the first candidates have now successfully passed the IPRC examination. The examination has not changed much, but greater are the differences in the way the classroom courses are conducted. There is much more focus to the practical aspects of managing the processes within an organization.

Early next year the next clustered practitioner exam will be made available by EXIN: support and restore, replacing Service Desk/Incident Management and Problem Management.
