San Francisco, CA, January 28, 2010 -- Rimon Law Group, a San Francisco based virtual law firm, became carbon neutral for the New Year. Rimon is the first virtual law firm to be awarded B Corporation certification, and strengthened its commitment to environmental social responsibility by eliminating its carbon footprint.
“Rimon has always made it a corporate goal to leave as small a footprint as possible,” said Michael Moradzadeh, co-founder and CEO. “Working virtually allows us to dramatically reduce environmentally costly overhead, and our model has always been a green one. We felt it was time to take the next step and offset what footprint remained.”
To achieve carbon neutral status, Rimon Law Group worked with Big Tree Climate Fund. Big Tree is a fellow B Corporation which develops and offers carbon emissions offsets. Rimon worked closely with the team at Big Tree to determine its carbon footprint and offset it by supporting key projects that benefit the rainforests in Brazil.
