According to the Business Journal, the awards program was designed to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Mrs. Mayer was selected from a pool of 38 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners were announced in a special pull-out section of the July 24th issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
