Contributed by theflea on Wednesday, June 14 @ 17:30:39 EDT

In a cricket reality TV show, 15 young men will be chosen from all over India by Indian veterans as well as Australian cricketers.

It is Team India Coach Greg Chappell's firm belief that much talent exists in our backyards and to that end the Australian International Sports Academy ( AISA ), who have the global rights to teach The Chappell Way, and The Flea have teamed up to bring to India a unique concept.
In a cricket reality TV show , 15 young men will be chosen from all over the country by Indian veterans as well as Australian cricketers such as Allan Border, Geoff Dymock, Adam Gilchrist, and Michael Kasprowitz among others. These cricketers will travel to India to be involved in the selection of the 15 best young men and help in the coaching program when they get to Australia.

At AISA the young Indians will learn The Chappell Way philosophy, a patented coaching technique developed by Greg Chappell from 40 years of experience, plus analysis of studying the best of the best including our own Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. The squad will then be pitted against a similar Australian side to play for what AISA has dubbed The Outback Ashes.

They will play a series of matches on an exciting tour of the Australian outback, visit the Great Barrier Reef, play at the home ground of Sir Donald Bradman and see his fabulous museum. During the tour they will also witness One Day Internationals between England, Australia and New Zealand and meet some of the players of these teams. Along the way, they will be exposed to other Australian cricketing legends, and be involved in coaching clinics with other young Australians where they could be passing on some of their new-found knowledge.

Says Tony Dell, Executive Director of AISA , "It is important for us to give talent the opportunity to blossom. With this reality show we will be able to go out into the gullies of India in a bid to give to give international training and a wonderful experience to 15 of the best. The Outback Ashes will provide these young cricketers with international know- how and broaden their cricketing knowledge. We are keen to further this exchange of knowledge between our two countries, the Australian boys will get a lot out of traveling with the Indian boys for three weeks. "

  • The Flea
  • is a marketing partner with AISA and will be responsible for the execution of this project.

Says Sunil Shibad, Director of The Flea , “This reality show will be a great experience on television as it will span across two subcontinents. Currently we are in talks with the major TV networks, and will soon provide any talented cricketer from India the opportunity of a lifetime. Naturally for the viewers this show will be a grand experience.''
