Public Intoxication gets drank by many Ditch fans.
Ditch begins accepting preorders for his long awaited sophomore album: “Public Intoxication”. The cd features original guest appearances by the newest names in hip-hop and some legendary ones as well. Shock G aka. Humpty from Digital Underground and Ditch take on the female audience in the nasty club banger “Smack Dat A**”. Ditch and Chali 2na, the deep voiced rapper from Jurassic 5, come in heavy on a song called “All Comes Down to Money” which is a sign of the economic hard times even rappers face. That song was co produced by Chali 2na with Ditch. Another strong venture into the musical unknown comes with special guest Eek-A-Mouse who gives ode to Proposition 215 and Medicinal uses of Marijuana in a funky get up and dance song “Smoke It Up”. Hot Dollar from Def Jam Records who has had a few radio hits of his own also guest appears on the cd. The song with Ditch and Hot Dollar is perfect as the two trade verses on “Por Vida” a street anthem worthy of a crowd response. Other guests on the cd include the nations most famous Pimp, Bishop Don Magic Juan who gives us an exclusive look into his life and his fun times in Southern California with Ditch. Cashis from Shady Records appears as does Dogboy from Too Rude, and Andrew Byrniarski who plays Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Pearl Harbor.
Public Intoxication is a step up for Ditch who up until signing on for the 80 minute long album, the longest a Cd can be, who before only had 1 album recorded in a home studio. The music ventures to new territories for a Hip-Hop artist with songs ranging from angst tracks such as : “Like me now”, “I Aint Scared” and the title track “Public Intoxication” to instant rap ballad classics such as: “High Road”, “West Will Rise”, “We Don’t Play” and the albums hot single “Lean to Tha Side.
