She has developed a new department called ShoeBox Accounting, designed for small business operators who tend to toss all of their documents such as check stubs, receipts, and invoices into a ShoeBox. Then at the end of the year, they take their ShoeBox to their accountant for processing into financial statements.
She identifies her target market as the business owner who scrambles at tax time to get records ready; is often unsure about profits; and needs to learn ways to organize records, become familiar with financial statements, and produce a profit and loss report.
