• Microsoft Dynamics AX Axapta USA. With the release of Axapta version 4.0 – it
is “localized” or probably better term “globalized” for US marker – US GAAP,
HR/Payroll, Financial core. This might mean that Axapta is now targets
multinational corporations with their headquarters in the USA and UK and Europe,
where traditional ERP/MRP players were Oracle E-Business Suite, Navision, SAP
R/3, SAP mySAP
• Axapta Private Technology. MorphX/X++ - as we could expect – Microsoft is more
interested in promoting its own “private” technology - .Net, C#, VB.Net, MS SQL
Server 2005, etc. We need time to evaluate Microsoft strategy and tactic to move
Axapta from MorphX to .Net
• Axapta vs. Navision. Axapta with its modern architecture should be considered
probably first, if you are multinational corporation or mid-size business in
Brazil. If you look at the future possible development – Axapta might have
longer life time in the long run, comparing to Navision, Great Plains and
Solomon
• Competition. Well, we should make the clear statement of competing with
international ERP brands only – if you stake on Microsiga – we are out of scope.
Local Brazilian ERP packages are better prepared for advanced localization
issues, such as Payroll, HR, States and local municipal taxation
• Colombia. This is where Axapta LATAM polygon is located. Please, note that
Axapta was first translated into Spanish and localized for Spanish speaking
South America
• Microsoft CRM/Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. We do believe that MS CRM will be
real front end for all MS ERP products: Axapta Great Plains, Solomon, Navision,
even considering the fact that Axapta and Navision have their own CRM modules
