GAO's single fiber fusion splicer is designed to splice dispersion shifted, Non-Zero dispersion shifted, and Erbium doped fibers. Fusion splicing is preferred over mechanical splices for its inherent durability and strength. This fusion splicer's mechanical splices typically have only a 0.1dB to 0.3dB loss.
GAO's innovative fiber fusion splicer boasts reversible monitor with control panel on each side and has an 8-second fusion splice time. The splicer automatically adjusts to environmental conditions with temperature, humidity and pressure sensors to provide constant feedback control to regulate the fusion arc temperature.
