Amazing Aliens Could Be the Next Mickey or Kermit.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, October 11, 2004 --From the opening sequence, the AMAZING ALIENS blast onto the TV screen. It’s a jam session like you have never seen. There are aliens with dreadlocks, 8-foot tall, walking robots, atomic bunnies, and dancing droids all rocking out.
“The AMAZING ALIENS are a veritable rainbow of diverse characters and the freshest thing in children’s entertainment to come along in years,” says producer Rashel Rey. “It’s like The Muppet Show meets Gilligan’s Island; an Alien Rock Opera that is both fresh and retro; appealing to kids and parents alike,” Rey adds.
The story revolves around the world of Neila 5, where a high energy, rock band, the AMAZING ALIENS are sent out to the Mecca of rock n' roll, Earth. The aliens broadcast a show back to their home planet, highlighting their adventures. Unfortunately, the crew accidentally crashes on Earth, stranding them on the most exciting planet in the universe. Their TV ratings soar.
The AMAZING ALIENS video is an adventure story with fun, educational themes that focus on social skills. Rey says, “Our programs are designed to develop self-respect and character, and to encourage teamwork, conflict resolution, and making a difference. We believe children who are well prepared and happy with who they are, will make the world a happier place.”
An attractive feature of the AMAZING ALIENS is the video implements a Dr. Seuss approach to “edutainment”, where kids assimilate life lessons through the entertainment of the show. Rey adds, “The AMAZING ALIENS represent our core belief that regardless of background, we all laugh, we all cry, we all sing, and we all dream.”
The AMAZING ALIENS features songs from the 1950’s through the 1990’s. There are tributes to Phil Collins, Bill Withers, Jimmy Cliff, The Proclaimers, and don’t miss the hilarious Elvis impersonation at the end.
The first installment in the AMAZING ALIENS video series hits stores Oct. 26, 2004 with future episodes due out in 2005. As the AMAZING ALIENS say, “The future just wouldn’t be the same without us.”
