Yorkshire, England, January 23, 2009 -- Premier Event Marquee, the leading marquee hire company in Yorkshire, have helped Katie Taylor to raise £25,000 for research into Lymphoedema, a rare condition where lymphatic drainage does not occur correctly. Premier Event Marquee was chosen by Katie Taylor to cover the Midsummer Masquerade, a charity ball for 350 guests.
The venue of the Midsummer Masquerade ball was Drewton Manor, a 1,138 acre estate in Yorkshire. The event required 10 interconnected marquees, 52 archways with fairy lights and silk ivy, 14 connecting gutters, 29 side panels, 68 rolls of carpet, 240 two foot stakes, 174 side pins, 46 uplights and a large dance floor with an elevated stage. Taking 15 hours to set up, over 2,814 square metres of marquee was erected.
“The marquee was stunning and I’ve had so many wonderful comments from friends, family and other guests”, comments Katie Taylor, organiser of the Midsummer Masquerade Ball. “The marquee looked stunning in the daylight and even more amazing in the evening with the uplighting. I’m thrilled to say that we raised around £25,000 for the Leeds Teaching Hospital Lymphoedema Fund.”
