Tom Peric’ 856-874-0049 tom@thegalileo.com York, Pa. - The Institute St. Onge has appointed Jim Reeb as its new president effective immediately. He will be responsible for reorganizing the institute to focus on supply chain investment advice, applied research and planning, education and training. The Institute St. Onge is a subscription-based Web portal offering 24-hour access to more than 2,000 years of engineering expertise in material handling, logistics, manufacturing processes, packaging and transportation, including nearly three million individual best practices, innovations and knowledge. "As an investment financial adviser, Jim brings his leadership, intelligence and creativity to developing an institute that is unusual for its combination of investment advice, funded research and broad educational outreach," said Paul Evanko, the institute's chief operating officer. "Investors need sound, reliable advice before they commit to investing in emerging supply chain technologies and related supply chain infrastructure," Reeb said. "The Institute will offer a comprehensive approach of tapping into the intellectual capital of its knowledge base and the experience of a staff that has worked on projects for more than 300 of the Fortune 500 companies. It has recently been selected a member of the elite 100 Great Supply Chain Partners in the world." For example, if a private equity fund, bank or institution wanted to invest in supply chain-related infrastructure, Institute St. Onge would be able to analyze possibilities not only from a supply chain perspective but also from the financial side as an investment opportunity, Reeb says. He previously developed the business consulting practice at Cushman & Wakefield Inc., the third largest commercial real estate company in the World. Before Cushman & Wakefield, Reeb was director and partner of Real Estate Advisory/Fantus Services for Deloitte & Touche. Reeb has represented clients including the Rockefeller Group, Citigroup, Ames True Temper, Colgate, DuPont, General Motors, Goodwill, the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of State. Reeb earned a dual bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting and civil/industrial engineering (with honors) and a master's degree in business administration in real estate and urban planning (with honors) from Temple University. He completed post-graduate work at Harvard University. He is pursuing post-graduate studies in organization transformation at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, as part of a doctorate in strategic leadership at Regents University. The Institute offers a Web portal on a subscription basis. It will post White Papers and conference presentations to the Web site, which will be available to the public. The Institute has access to an international supply chain engineering consulting expertise specializing in supply chain strategy and the planning, engineering and implementation of advanced material handling, information and control systems supporting manufacturing and distribution excellence. Reeb is a resident of Hershey, Pa. ###
