~Teen Challenge is a nation wide outreach that primarily fights against the drug epidemic and counter acts strongholds that serious drug abusers encounter. ~ Biola students have collaborated with a specific Teen Challenge site in the Compton/Lynwood area just a short drive from Biola and this particular Teen Challenge focuses on the youth by providing a safe environment in which kids from the neighborhood can play and hangout. ~Every Friday evening, Biola students go to the “rec. yard” at this Teen Challenge sight and ministers to the kids through consistent relationships. This Friday, March 3rd , Biola has invited Poetry4Jesus Spoken Word Team to be apart of this great event. Poetry 4 Jesus will feature spoken word poetry, hip hop, and music all of which to glorify the word of God.
Event will take place at 3156 Euclid Ave. Lynwood CA - The Rec Yard Friday, March 3rd from 6pm - 8:30pm For more info please call 909-496-0379
