GAO Fiber Optics' manual variable optical attenuator works at wavelengths from 1290nm to 1625nm within the temperature range of -5°C to 75°C The maximum handling power is 300mW and the attenuation level in dB ranges from 10dB to 45dB. This attenuator features low insertion loss of less than 1.5dB, return loss of over 55dB without a connector and polarization dependent loss of less than 0.2dB. It reduces the amplitude or power without appreciably distorting the waveform. This variable attenuator has an epoxy-free optical path and is highly stable and reliable.
