Professor Kamal Nasser – COD of Al Ain University and Mr. Naeem Radi- CEO of Al Khawarizmi International College signed an Articulation Agreement on 7 th August, 2006 at the Al Ain Rotana, to establish an academic Partnership that will prove to be a milestone in the academic cooperation between universities in the UAE.
The purpose of this agreement is to provide students with more transfer options, enhanced learning resources, and extended scientific, social and sports programs. This agreement will also open the doors for professional development of the teaching staff of both institutions and exchange of intellectual expertise.
Al Khawarizmi International College, a leading Community College in the UAE, has come a long way over these past 20 years ever since it's inception in 1985. The CEO Mr. Naeem Radi, a visionary and community conscious individual aspires to lead the college to attain such standards that members of the society can look forward to life-long learning opportunities.
The College offers high quality educational and training programs. The College is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution.
The two-year Associate Degree Programs in Business Administration and Computer Studies are fully accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Students who successfully complete the Associate Degree programs can continue their higher education towards the Bachelor degree through Transfer of Credits to many International and Local Universities, with whom there is recognition and articulation agreements.
Al Ain University, a reputable private non-profit body, is a leading learning centre in the country. Established in 2005, it has advocated the concept of self-learning and enhanced personality development by providing students with opportunities and resources.
Although Al Ain University is less than one year old, it has succeeded in securing accreditation for two important postgraduate programs:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Professional Diploma in Teaching
In addition to the above postgraduate programs, AU obtained accreditation for seven undergraduate programs.
The AU has also submitted the following academic programs for accreditation: Computer Engineering, Networking Engineering (in Al-Ain), Pharmacy and Dentistry in (Abu Dhabi). The AU is in the process of preparing new programs in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The accreditation of the above mentioned postgraduate programs and preparation for accreditation of other programs give clear indication about the ambitious strategy adopted by the AU administration in developing its programs to become a centre of educational excellence not only in the UAE but also in the region.
