after reviewing the opportunities in Brazil. Our business development is backed
by our successful pilot projects, where we recommended SAP Business One to our
clients in the USA and Europe for their Brazilian subsidiaries. SAP Business One
has excellent integration capabilities for mySAP, as well as to virtually any
brand name ERP: Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics GP/AX/SL/NAV,
Microsiga to name a few. In 2006 SAP localized SAP Business One for Brazilian
ERP market and Alba Spectrum was involved in localization testing within our
group, including consultants training and training facilities preparation and
instructor staffing. Let’s take a look at SAP BO features and strong points
• All-in-one licensing. SAP Business One has license price by named user (you
can also have CRM named user only, this user license price is cheaper and useful
for your sales department employees). This means, that you do not have to pay
for additional modules software price – if you implement first Accounts
Receivable, later on you can add manufacturing and project accounting at no cost
(except consulting fees, if needed)
• Localization. SAP Business One is translated into Portuguese and adapted for
Brazilian tax code. Regarding Multilanguage support – you can switch language in
your SAP BO windows by hot-keys – this feature is important for international
manager, who needs to revise accounting results for several regions of the World
• Consolidation. When we are talking about international business – the
important feature is consolidation, including such complications as
multicurrency, GAAP (European or American). As mentioned above SAP Business One
is one of the best platforms, providing easy connectors for developer to enable
GL transactional consolidation to SAP R/3, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other
MRP.
• Brazilian Regions. One of our SAP BO pilot projects had two offices and
required users training in Sao Paulo and Manaus. So we are confident in helping
you in remote Brazilian regions, when required
• Customization and Development. SAP Business One has SDK to provide you with
the most complex integration, data conversion, interface modification and design
• Database Platform. Currently in Brazil SAP supports it on Microsoft Windows
and MS SQL Server. This platform enables you advanced integration with Microsoft
Office and MS Outlook (including messaging and emailing in SAP BO CRM module).
MS platform enables you to deploy MS .Net C# or VB developers if you prefer to
do customization in-house – SAP places some restrictions to SAP BO SDK
