The Rock It Chair, a colorful children’s modern rocking chair, by Jennifer Carpenter recently went into production in the OFFI children's furniture collection. Offi states: “We loved the designs and more importantly, we loved that she was the mother of a 2 year old boy, Booker. At that point we knew that she was experiencing the same new parent desire that we were, to create and bring kids furniture with clever design to a market lacking such a combination. Thus, the Built-By-Me collection was born.”
From Buenos Aires, Argentina and educated at Harvard University, Roberto Gil trained as an architect before delving into furniture design. In 1992 he joined Casa Kids Collection Design, Inc., a Brooklyn based design/build furniture company. In the year 2000, and in partnership with Big Moon Furniture, a Brazilian manufacturer, Roberto Gil created CasaKids, a collection of contemporary children's furniture.
