GameSide.org, a community website catering to gamers, launches a new version of their website this week which includes a new look and several new features.
Sacramento, CA, USA; November 25, 2005 – GameSide.org (http://www.gameside.org), a community website catering to gamers, launched a new version of their website this week which includes a new look and several new features. The new layout will enable viewers to quickly access information on articles/news relating to video games, as well as look up information on games.

The most notable feature that was added is a game and dvd collection system called GameShelf. GameShelf allows users to track items that they own, love, or wish for. This system will contribute to communications between users in trying to find partners to play games, or just trying to seek other users with similar interests.

An already existent feature, blogging, allows users to write and view journals, as well as comment on them. Also the GameSide Extreme Forum provides an area for users to voice their opinions on games, technology and/or just everyday life.

”A community-like atmosphere is key for us” Co-Founder and Webmaster Lachelle Thomas says. “With the advent of online-gaming, gamers are becoming less and less reclusive. They now want to interact with other gamers in more ways than one.”

GameSide.org prides itself on the tag line that appears beneath its logo: For Gamers By Gamers. “Often I'd go to some of the larger gaming communities, except that’s what was exactly missing – the community. I believe GameSide.org tries to stay true to its community roots, while striving to provide content for gamers to enjoy” Public Relations and GameSide Administrator Harry Nelson III states. “The fact that the creators of GameSide are all gamers tends to put more faith into our members. They know what to expect from us, since we’re just like them.”

In addition to games, GameSide.org also provides reviews and news on DVDs and other Technology-related issues.
